Shanna Barnes, Vice President, Business Development, brings expertise in building long-term client relationships and delivering results. She works closely with manufacturers to help build all-encompassing service solutions that meet the needs of patients and providers. 

Before joining Lash Group, Ms. Barnes held the role of Vice President, Field Services, at Xcenda, another AmerisourceBergen company. She focused on providing strategic insights, identified key resources and played an integral part in developing individualized field resources for clients. Additionally, she provided thought leadership with buy and bill teams as well as those in the specialty pharmacy space.

She joined Xcenda after nearly 10 years with the third largest not-for-profit healthcare system in the U.S. and has held progressive roles in healthcare reimbursement and revenue cycle management throughout her career. Ms. Barnes' expertise in physician's reimbursement, practice and hospital administration, pharmacy administration, charge master processes, coding, and compliance has supported her success in consulting. As a leader within the revenue cycle division, she developed and managed many processes that led to enhanced compliance monitoring, reduction in facility and practice denials, and operational efficiencies.

Ms. Barnes has been a national speaker for society meetings, sharing her expertise on billing regulations, electronic claims processes and compliance, and payer relations/contracting, as well as provided training for key stakeholders on revenue cycle operations.

She holds a Master of Health Administration from Pfeiffer University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
